>Shining one lives in an alternate universe, where science is a religion that is based on faith w no thing to support any of it's beliefs.
"Nothing to support the beliefs" of which scientists?
>In his universe, religion is daily proven through experiments in laboratories; demons isolated, labeled, placed in cold storage. Jesus regularly makes the rounds. God can be reached via special astrophones.
Really, where have I said this?
>The real miracle is that shiner can actually access this universe, that his words don't come out backwards, upside down or as gibberish.
Why, thank you. I am glad that you so clearly understand where I am coming from!
>Logically, as soon as he touched anything on this side, there should be an anihalative reaction, similar to the reaction of matter to antimatter. Since none of us eartlings can see into that universe, we just have to trust that all he says about his universe is true.
Where have I said anything like this? Unless you are demonstrating your own lack of logical methodology you have made statements that are idiotic. LOL

Cygnus,
In what way is Morris wrong in his interpretation of the evidence he believes favors creationism?

Kid A,
What do you base your assumption on when it comes to, "evil when they have to rely on our scientific methodologies". Where have any of us 'relgionists' made a statement that gives you the idea that science is evil?

>In shiner's world, disease has no right to inhabit the body of the faithful. W faith and denial of actually having a disease, it has no choice but to leave.
Really, where have I said this? What do you base your assumption on?
> Oh sure, medicine may be used, but that is only because of imperfect faith. It is always good for a believer to deny the sickness, as it is an exercise of his faith, making it stronger, eventualy getting to the point where disease will not touch the believer, unless it fills the will of god.
Same questions as above....

Jesus as Manager and Founder of Christianity
by jgnat inas a manager, i've used jesus as a model and his example has served me well.
i approach my job as a servant 1 , and the people under me are the ones i work for.

The example defed cited, foot washing, is an example of the servant's attitude of humility to be observed by all who seek to emulate Christ. It is not a specific act that has to be obeyed literally, no more than some extreme act of getting yourself crucified as some people actually do! You still fail to consider the context in light of the rest of scripture. This is the major flaw in your faith, you refuse to accept the authority of scripture as God inspired.

Hi Jgnat,
What is the 'rule of thumb' you use to follow or disregard the 'manual'?
Is it arbitrary, i.e. based on your judgment?
Upon what authority do you stand to back up your decisions, if they are not arbitrary?

Ah Devon,
Whip out the old 'credentials', 'accepted', 'scholars', and 'liar'. You accuse and deride. Never mind the actual information and the fact that the real liars have wrongly accused Christianity of the 'flat earth' belief. This fellow is not the only one to question the veracity of various claims by skeptics. You count it against him because he takes the literal events of Genesis literally? LOL at you.
Go away, son. Typically creationists do not question the actual science, what they question is the interpretation of the data. That has been demonstrated to depend on the presuppositions of the person doing the interpreting!

Hi Dan,
Can't you see that I am trying to reach out to you? I don't judge where you may or may not be going. That depends entirely on where you are at with God. I would just advise you to reamin open minded to what you see and experience in daily life. No one is 'elite', no one is good. There is grace and it is unmerited favor. None have ever earned salvation, not the pope, no saint of God. Salvation's work for the believer is simply that: belief.
